The Meetings Industry Marketing Awards welcomed a record number of guests to the Lancaster London for a ceremony honouring the industry’s top marketing minds.
Buyers from MCI UK, Grass Roots Group, The Turner Agency, Zibrant, drp, Top Banana and Pure Events were among those at the event on Monday, 20 October.
And guests dug deep to support Meetings Industry Meeting Needs, helping to bring the total raised in the raffle and online auction to more than £35,000.
“It was the biggest ever Meetings Industry Marketing Awards Dinner with 450 people at The Lancaster London and raised more than £35,000 for the industry’s charity. That in itself was hugely gratifying,” said Martin Lewis, managing editor of Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine.
“More difficult to measure was the quality of the entries but I was really impressed with many of the entries. It is certainly having the desired effect of improving the quality of marketing in our sector.”
Visit Belfast were named marketing team of the year, having helped the city to a record year, while INVOLVE‘s solid chocolate teapot initiative saw them win best direct mail campaign and best brand marketing campaign.
The best live marketing event award went to Story Events for the London Christmas Party Show, while Central Hall Westminster won the best integrated marketing campaign for its 12-month Meet The Future project.
Harbour & Jones Events won best use of budget for the Save The Orchards campaign, and Liverpool Convention Bureau was voted by judges to have produced the best brochure.
