Premier Inn announces plans for 50 hotels in SE Asia by 2018
UK-based hotel operator Premier Inn has announced plans to open its first hotel in Singapore, the 300-room Premier Inn Singapore Beach Road, in the middle of 2016.
This comes as the group aims to grow to at least 50 hotels in Southeast Asia – Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand – India and the Middle East by 2018. Locations will include Bali, Jakarta, Yogjakarta, Bangkok, Goa, Chennai, Mumbai, Dubai, Muscat and Doha.
“Opening new hotels in these three key regions is now part of our long-term strategy to further enhance and develop the Premier Inn brand globally and we are confident it will be well received in these markets by value-conscious travellers,” said Erik Van Keulen, senior vice president development, Premier Inn Asia Pacific.
Located within a kilometre of the Sports Hub, Premier Inn Singapore Beach Road is also close to Arab Street, Haji Lane and the Marina Bay financial district. The hotel will feature amenities that will cater to both business and leisure travellers including a swimming pool, state-of-the-art gym as well as meeting facilities.
